Fighters Only magazine has a great article in it this month entitled "Seven Exotic MMA Hotspots" that features breath-taking countries who have embraced MMA (or are waiting to).

On the list?

New Zealand!

NZMMA editor, Nyra Phillips gives a brief overview of where MMA is currently at in this country as compared to 2007, when she first returned home from living in South Korea, Iowa and Hawaii - all MMA hotspots of their own.

When asked who she considered was currently our top MMA fighter, she replied "Rod MacSwain", to which the magazine responded by including a side bar of our own "Hot Rod", highlighting the Auckland Strikeforce MMA trainer.

Copies of Issue 66 at Mag Nation in Auckland for $16.95 however once copies sell out they will restock via a local distributor and the price will increase to $18.95.
